AgendaNi Magazine Energy Forum Belfast 2024

NMK Managing Director & North Channel Wind Project Director, Niamh Kenny spoke at the AgendaNi Magazine Energy Forum in Belfast about the incredible opportunities which offshore wind presents for Northern Ireland. She spoke about the proposed North Channel Wind Project and the supply chain companies which can benefit from a domestic offshore wind industry. However, she also highlighted how delays in the various critical path decisions means that offshore wind projects may not be available until the early 2030s. She urged The Crown Estate to accelerate the seabed leasing round for Northern Ireland and Department for the Economy NI to provide concrete dates for the CfD auction for offshore wind. hashtag#offshorewind hashtag#netzero hashtag#renewables
